閱讀理解

Recently, some British MPs( 議員) took a primary school-leaving exam(小學(xué)畢業(yè)考試). But their average scores(平均分) are lower than those of the 10-year-old pupils(小學(xué)生).
Only 44% of the MPs got to the expected level(預(yù)期水平) of pupils in math. In reading and writing, it was 50%. But 59% of the pupils at the age of 10 and 11 could get to the expected level in math, reading and writing.
The initiators(發(fā)起者) want the MPs to know a fact(事實(shí)). The exams only judge(評(píng)價(jià)) schools but do not help children's learning at that age.
Robin Walker is the new chairman of the education select committee(教育特別委員會(huì)).He says that exams for 10-and11-year-olds need to be changed(改變 ). But that does not mean canceling the exams. They still need exams. Taking exams is meaningful(有意義的). But it is not the only way to succeed. The most important thing is not the exam it self, but to make students love reading.
1.The British MPs took a ___ exam.
2.What does the underlined word “canceling” in Paragraph 4 mean?
3.The education select committee of the UK will____.
4.Which of the following about the exams is NOT true?
